Wine Making Competition

This past March, both customers, franchise owners, and Vintner's Circle team members submitted wines to the 2010 WineMaker International Amateur Wine Competition. The results were released on May 22nd: wine makers at Vintner's Circle won whopping total of thirteen medals! Between the seven winning wine makers, we received four gold medals, two silver medals, and seven bronze medals. Congratulations to this year's award-winning wine makers: Vintner's Circle Wine Making Customers Dave Becker: Two gold medals for his 2008 Peach Chardonnay and his 2008 White Chocolate Port. Three bronze medals for his 2007 Vidal Ice Wine, his 2009 Banana Pineapple Viognier, and his 2008 Okanagan Peach Ice Wine. Doug Lemon: A bronze medal for his 2008 homemade fruit mead, a combination of blueberry honey and blueberries. Deb Mills: Two gold medals for her 2008 Vieux Chateau Du Roi and her 2007 Chocolate Raspberry Port. David Ugi: A silver medal for his 2009 Exotic Fruit White Zinfandel, and a bronze medal for his 2009 Okanagan Red Meritage. Franchise Owners Joanne Jasonek: A bronze medal for her 2009 Riesling Ice Wine. David Schmeltzle: A silver medal for his 2008 L'Collage blend. Vintner's Circle Team Member Jolan Turkington: A bronze medal for her 2009 White Chocolate Port. ***** Read about last year's competition! |
