White Zinfandel

Color: Blush
Is Great With: barbequed meats; spicy Asian cuisine (like Thai food); pasta with creamy sauces; crab cakes; mild cheeses
Sweetness: Off-Dry to Sweet
Body: Light-Medium

White Zinfandel comes from the grape Zinfandel, a usually rich, bold, and spicy red grape. White Zinfandel its the sweeter, lighter incantation: the juice for White Zinfandel does not stay in contact with the grapes' skins very long, which means the resulting wine is blush-colored, and much less tannic than traditional red Zinfandel. White Zinfandel retains a moderate amount of residual sugar, which makes for a off-dry to sweet wine, simple and refreshing.
