Thomas Pfau Director of Technology Thomas joined Vintners Circle Franchising in the beginning of 2009, helping to develop the company’s software and technology. He began working for VCF full time in October of 2009, and now serves as the Director of Technology. He is responsible for exploring new technologies to promote Vintner’s Circle online, and to improve shop operations. He maintains the company’s websites, which includes implementing new features and tools to facilitate shop operations and marketing strategies. Prior to joining VCF, Thomas worked with David Schmeltzle between 2001 and 2002, helping launch a technology start-up. From 1988 to 1996, Thomas worked with Toys ‘R’ Us as a programmer, and ultimately as a programming consultant. For more than a decade, Thomas worked for the Digital Equipment Corporation, from 1981 until 1993. Thomas began programming in 1977, in high school, and has continued to work in the computer industry and the professional programming world since 1983. Thomas has been married to his wife Karen since January of 1982. He has four daughters, two grandsons, and has another grandchild due this July. Thomas can be reached via email at |
