Pinotage is a grape unique to South Africa: it was created there, in the mid 1920s, as a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault. Pinotage produces deep red, fruity wines, which can range from medium-bodied to full and robust. The wines often feature aromas like bananas, blackberries, and mulberries.
