Chianti is a wine from the Tuscany region of Italy, which is located in the center of the country (near the city of Siena). Chianti is a blend, featuring the famous grape Sangiovese, as well as Cannaiolo Nero, Trebbiano, and Malvasia del Chianti. These grapes are all Italian originals, which makes Chianti one of the country’s most famous, and most patriotic, wines. The wine can be medium- to full-bodied, but is always robust and rich in flavor. Chiantis feature aromatics like tobacco, bitter cherries, and herbs.
