Carménère is a French grape, originally from the Bordeaux region. Carménère makes a medium-bodied, velvety-smooth red wine, with aromas of cherries, dark berries, and chocolate. Carménère is very similar to Merlot in style; in fact, for a long time, Chilean wine growers often mistook the Carménère grape for Merlot! Carménère has done very well in the New World, and in Chile especially it has now become a worthy varietal.

We offer:

Chilean Carménère Wine Making Session
Mapocho Chilean Carménère Wine Making Session

If you like Carménère, you may like Merlot and red wines from Rioja, like Tempranillo.
