Cabernet-Shiraz-Merlot

Color: Red
Is Great With: grilled, roasted, or braised beef and lamb; pasta with Bolognese sauce
Sweetness: Dry
Body: Medium-Full

The blending of the Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Merlot grapes was pioneered by our good friends Down Under. Though all three red grapes are French in origin, Australia has popularized this now-classic blend of the three, each distinctive in its own way, and coming together in happy harmony. Cabernet Sauvignon lends strong tannins and structure, Shiraz adds a spicy depth, and Merlot smoothes out the wine, giving it a velvety texture in the end. This blend has aromas of green and black pepper, and dark red fruits.
