Though all three red grapes are French in origin, Australia has popularized this now-classic blend of the three, each distinctive in its own way, and coming together in happy harmony. Cabernet Sauvignon lends strong tannins and structure, Shiraz adds a spicy depth, and Merlot smoothes out the wine, giving it a velvety texture in the end. This blend has aromas of green and black pepper, and dark red fruits.
