Vintner’s Circle, “where family and friends come together to make great wine” is participating in the 12th Annual WRNJ Radio Auction set for March 11 and 12, 2011. The Hackettstown-based wine-making shop is donating a total of 14 spots for its ABCs of Wine Tasting Class. Seven openings for each of two sessions will be auctioned off at the event, which will benefit the Joan Knechel Cancer Center at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.

“Our business is all about people coming together so we are excited about supporting an event that serves a need so vital to our local communities,” says David Schmeltzle of Vintner’s Circle Hackettstown. “We also look forward to welcoming the lucky winners and sharing with them our knowledge and enthusiasm about wine.”

The ABCs of Wine Tasting Class was created in conjunction with the Wine Spectator School and teaches the basics of identifying the different characteristics of wine and how to pair it with food. Guests will taste three reds and three whites during the 90-minute sessions to be held March 30 and April 1, at Vintner’s Circle, 57 Route 46, Hackettstown in the Blockbuster shopping plaza.
