Vintner’s Circle winemaking shop in Dickson City, Pennslyvania recently presented American Cancer Society representative Tonyehn Verkitus with a check for $100. The donation represented a percentage of the ticket sales from the shop’s Comedy Night that was held in July.

“Every member of every household is affected by someone they know who has battled with cancer,” said Vintner’s Circle Dickson City franchisee Stan Triplett. “We are very pleased that the American Cancer Society could benefit from our event.”

Comediennes Jeannine Luby and Liz Russo performed together at the winemaking shop, which was the first stop on Luby’s summer tour. Triplett said that, based on the success of this show, they are planning another Comedy Night in November.

Triplett and his wife, Joanne, have held functions in the past to benefit other organizations such as the American Heart Association.

Vintner’s Circle shops offer winemaking in three easy steps in a comfortable setting with knowledgeable staff. A wide selection of wine is available, as well as education classes, wine tastings and special events. For more information, visit www.VintnersCircle.com.
