Potassium Metabisulfite - 1 lb. bag. Potassium Metabisulfite is used in the wine making process to release sulfur dioxide which inhibits harmful bacteria and prevents oxidation. It is also often used to destroy wild bacteria and mold when beginning to make wine from fresh juice.
Used in higher concentrations it is great for sanitizing wine making equipment.
1/8 tsp per gallon = approximately 100 ppm SO2. Packed in barrier bags to prevent potency deterioration.
